Erik believes it Is the best style of training, in conjunction with proper nutrition, to lose body fat. In fact, this is the method of workout he uses to stay physically healthy and in shape.
- HIIT can last anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes and will consistently burn calories at a high rate.
So, why is HIIT so great?
- HIIT uses what is known as EPOC (Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption) which helps to burn fat and put on muscle. Ultimately, the body uses oxygen to restore muscle glycogen and rebuild muscle proteins damaged during exercise. After a HIIT workout, the body will continue to use the EPOC effect – ultimately continuing to burn calories.
